Dear Friend,

Things are pretty much back to normal at the Otsego Historical Museum this year. We have been able to resume the Historical Happenings programs. Those programs included: Dick Lubic talking about his experiences as a helicopter pilot in Vietnam, The Kalamazoo Scale Modelers club showing their handiwork, Beverly Papierz discussing Mary Todd Lincoln, Dave Thompson discussing One Room Schools in Allegan County and Historical Society members discussing Otsego Businesses c.1960.

The Junior Board has recently put up a Little Library outside the front door and is stocking it with books, school supplies and some food.

Otsego Main Street moved out of the museum room that they rented and are now in City Hall. Braden’s Closet has rented the room and moved in July 1. They are a nonprofit supplying children’s clothing to those in need.

We have reached the end of our fiscal year and it is once again time to make our annual appeal to ask for your support to keep our museum open and to help us provide even more for the community. The historical society and museum is a 501c3 non-profit organization that relies 100% on membership fees, fundraising events and private donations. It is totally operated by volunteers. Because of you and many others in the area we are able to make Otsego History come alive through displays and programs.

Thank you for your continued support and for understanding the value the Otsego Area Historical Society brings to the community. Thank you for considering a tax deductible gift. Any amount is appreciated.

Sincerely,

The Otsego Museum Board of Trustees
